The Motor City All-Star Band was founded the summer of 2014 in Detroit, Michigan by Khristian Foreman and influenced with growth and musicians from Ego-Trip Musicians Inc. . As we continue to grow and represent the musical excellence and persistence we aim to showcase ourselves and our city in a positive light with our excellent musicians.

Qualifications:
- Anyone in highschool must have parent's consent to participate with MCAB.
- Membership dues are required to participate in MCAB
- Come with your own equipment (mouthpieces, sticks, straps, reeds ect.)
- Must be APPROVED by bandstaff to participate
- Play 3 scales (Major and Minor) and Be able to play a march
- Have good work ethic
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Be able to get along with others and be cordial in times of discomfort
MCAB Rules
- Respect The Podium No Matter Who’s In Front Of It.
- No Smoking Or Drinking Around Rehearsal.
- Unexcused Tardies And Absences Will Call For Consequences.
- Maintain A Cordial And Positive Attitude During Rehearsal.
- You are personally held accountable for you equipment and music and if anything involving equipment is broken you are financially responsible.
- Bring A Music Folder To Practice. We Will Issue You Music At Practice.
- At the end of rehearsal the director or whoever in front of the podium will dismiss you.
- Fighting or any altercations will automatically dismiss you from our program.
- Leave rehearsal space clean and neat.
- Make sure phones and electronic devices are on silent.
- If you are issued an instrument you must sign it in and sign it out.
- For performances make sure you are clean cut and sharp. The directors will let you know proper attire for performances.
- ABSOLUTELY NO SAGGING! Wear a belt to practice or make sure you pants are on your waist.
- Make sure you have EXCELLENT Hygiene.
- No Public Displays Of Affection During Practice.
- Know all your music.
- Don’t record anything unless you have permission from the staff.
- BE A DETROIT MUSICIAN!
